Dina Waked has been appointed Dean of the School of Research

Dina Waked has been appointed Dean of the School of Research and will officially take up her new post on 1 September. 

She holds a Doctor of Judicial Science (S.J.D) and a Master of Laws (LL.M) from Harvard Law School, a Bachelor of Law (LL.B) from the Faculty of Law at Cairo University and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Economics from the American University in Cairo. She began teaching at Sciences Po's University College in 2009, teaching at the Paris, Reims and Menton campuses. In 2013, she joined the Law School as Assistant Professor and became Associate Professor in 2018 after defending her HDR at Sciences Po. She then became the Director of the Law School's doctoral program from 2018 to 2022. In 2022, she was elected President of Sciences Po’s Conseil de l’Institut

She works at the intersection of several disciplines, particularly law and economics, and has been involved in several interdisciplinary projects such as the co-foundation of the Law and Economics Policy Initiative (LEPI) at Sciences Po. Her research and publications are in the fields of antitrust and competition law; law and development - particularly in the Global South; and law and economics. Her work focuses on redistribution, inequality, and social justice.

At Sciences Po she teaches at the Law School, PSIA, the School of Public Affairs and the Common Core curriculum. 
 
She is a member of several international networks such as the Institute for Global Law and Policy (IGLP) at HLS, the Academic Society for Competition Law (ASCOLA), and since 2020 has been a jury member of the Prix de la Chancellerie des Universités de Paris
