Inaugural lecture by Beate Klarsfeld

As part of its 150th anniversary celebrations, Sciences Po is hosting an unprecedented event to launch the academic year: Ms Beate Klarsfeld will give an inaugural lecture to all Sciences Po students on Wednesday 24 August at 6pm.

Beate Klarsfeld was born in Berlin on 13 February 1939. As a committed activist, she has devoted her life tracking down former Nazis, denouncing their crimes and remembering the Holocaust.

Her lecture has particular significance this year, in the context of France’s commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the Vel d'Hiv roundup. It will provide an opportunity to share an experience of history with young people across the world.
