Course description:

This transdisciplinary seminar of the School of Research is part of the gender studies  programme (PRESAGE). Its aim is to create a group for reflection and research around the work of doctoral students, as well as Master 1 and 2 students, who are explicitly involved in gender studies or for whom the controversies surrounding the application of the principle of equality are illuminating. The aim is for students from different disciplines to discuss common themes or questions (methodological issues, identity and equality politics, the fight against discrimination, intersectionality, sexuality, politicisation, mobilisation, etc.).
 

The sessions will be organised, via zoom, along the lines of an interactive round-table discussion, with academics invited to present their work and respond to presentations on the progress of student research. The first session will be devoted to choosing the themes that will structure the various sessions and the discussants to be invited. From the second session onwards, time may be set aside at the beginning of each session for a discussion of the students' work in progress (draft article, research progress, etc.). The aim is to forge links between the five major disciplines taught at Sciences Po (law, economics, history, political science and sociology), as well as with other disciplines (philosophy, art history, etc.), by helping students to learn research methods and to produce scientific work.
