Marine Le Gloan is a consultant in the sustainable development consulting agency, Utopies. She completed a double bachelor's degree in political science and sustainable development between Sciences Po and Columbia University. She is now working on missions for local authorities and real estate players.

The students of the MASTER GOVERNING ECOLOGICAL TRANSITIONS in EUROPEANCITIES realised a collective inquiry following their study trip to Barcelona. The trip consisted of a five-day stay in the city in an effort to answer the question of how to combine a radical agenda for sustainability and social justice. The main challenges faced by Barcelona encompass water, energy, housing, and the political and infrastructural legacies of the Olympic Games.
Chloé Deparis graduated from the MASTER IN Governing the Large Metropolis in 2020. For the past two years she has been living in Cambodia and working as project manager at Sevea, a think tank specialising in sustainable development.
Six students from the Urban Planning Programme carried out a joint field study of Athens and Eleusis. They began work in three different teams, but realised that the issues their respective projects addressed were remarkably similar. The students included certain cities bordering the capital in their field study.
Five students have developed a benchmark based on fifteen urban agriculture projects in France, Europe and North America. Urban farms bring more nature into the city and introduce a new aesthetic into the urban landscape. Urban agriculture also helps cast a spotlight on problems of food insecurity.

Virginie Vial is the executive director of the SAMOA URBAN PLANNING & DEVELOPMENT AGENCY in Nantes, France. She graduated from the Urban Planning Programme in 1996. She worked for Euro Disney's real estate development team before joining SAMOA in 2009.
