Drug supply and urban worlds: Understanding the urban dynamics of illicit drug supply from European ports

The Urban School of Sciences Po and the Interministerial Mission for Combating Drugs and Addictive Behaviors (MILDECA) are launching a new series of conferences on the illicit drugs supply and its urban challenges. This ambitious initiative aims to strengthen cooperation between scientific research and key stakeholders, with the following objectives:

  • Disseminate and promote academic research on the illicit drugs supply and urban worlds. Six conferences will be held, bringing together important stakeholders and international researchers to discuss the most robust scientific and empirical knowledge related to the topic of illicit drugs markets and their impact on urban dynamics.
  • Enhance academic excellence and support future research on illicit drug supply and urban worlds. Alongside the conferences, students from the Master Governing the Large Metropolis of the Urban School will work on a capstone project. The project aims to explore the challenges related to illicit drugs markets in several port towns.

The conferences are submitted to invitation.
