GLM students in exploration in Dubai

The students in second year of the Master in Governing the Large Metropolis went in Dubai from 4 to 9 September.

The study trip to a large metropolis is an important building block of the GLM master program.

This year, the trip aimed at understanding how the metropolitan development of Dubai is governed. We looked to infrastructure building and management, environmental policies, coordination instruments and business attractiveness.

>Programme:

• Day 1: Visit of the Dubai Mall and meeting with Boston Consulting Group 
• Day 2: Meetings with DMCC, the Etihad Museum and the Sustainable city. Visit at the Al Shindagha Museum
• Day 3: Meetings with Dubai Holding Real Estate, Emaar Properties, the Italian Chamber of Commerce, Alstom, Accor Hotel and the Architectural Heritage and Antiquities Department of Dubai Municipality
• Day 4: Meeting with Chalhoub Group, Habtoor Group, Veolia, Dewan Architects + Engineers, Egis and We Connect

After the study trip, the students will write an instant book that will be printed and published online on our website.
