Launch of the Trajets d'Avenir scholarship and mentoring programme by the RATP Group Foundation

The Foundation Groupe RATP, in partnership with Sciences Po Urban School, is delighted to announce the launch of the Trajets d'Avenir programme for the 2024-2025 academic year. This ambitious project, which reflects the RATP Group's commitment to a better quality of urban life, aims to support five Master 1 students by offering them a scholarship and personalised guidance. Students are eligible for the scholarship once they join the Ecole urbaine from October of the first year.

Financial support and mentoring for the future

The Trajets d'Avenir programme was created to enable students in economically fragile situations to concentrate fully on their studies and professional future. Thanks to a €3,000 grant, beneficiaries can face their academic year with peace of mind while benefiting from mentoring by industry professionals, who will guide them in their orientation and professional integration.
The Sciences Po Urban School, renowned for its high-level teaching and multidisciplinary approach, prepares around 400 students each year for urban and regional management careers. This scholarship program reflects the two institutions' commitment to supporting young talent and promoting professional integration.

Strong local ties

The RATP Group Corporate Foundation is committed to strengthening its ties with the regions in which the Group operates, both in France and abroad. Through its Trajets d'Avenir programme, and the other initiatives it supports, it contributes to the social and professional integration of promising young people, in line with the Group's raison d'être: "Committing ourselves every day to a better quality of city".
We asked program manager Souad Ibnouzahir a few questions to learn more about this partnership.

How important is this program for the RATP Group Foundation?

The "Trajets d'Avenir" scheme offers essential support to students in situations of economic and/or social fragility, enabling them to benefit from a scholarship supplement and personalised mentoring with a volunteer employee of the RATP group. This program goes beyond financial aid to offer human and professional support, which is crucial in guiding students towards successful integration into professional life. The mentors, through their regular exchanges and support tailored to the specific needs of each student, play a decisive role in the success and development of these young people.

Why did you specifically target students at the Sciences Po Urban School?

Specifically, targeting Sciences Po's Urban School students makes sense for the RATP Group Foundation. The Urban School trains students for careers in urban and regional design, management and governance while pursuing a policy of equal opportunity, with almost a third of its students receiving scholarships. The RATP group has always been a key player in urban planning, not only through its urban transport projects but also through its real estate policy (asset enhancement, social housing, public facilities, etc.), which aims to help build the city of tomorrow. By targeting these students, the RATP Group Foundation will seek to make the RATP Group's resources available to help train future professionals committed to developing intelligent, humane and sustainable cities.

What are your hopes for the future of this program?

Our ambition for the future of this "Trajets d'Avenir" program is to continue to be useful by inspiring the social integration of the student beneficiaries. This program offers the human and professional support essential for successful integration into working life. By targeting students from Sciences Po's Urban School, we hope to meet the needs of tomorrow's smart, sustainable cities while promoting equal opportunities.
