Admissions at a glance
Students gain admission to Sciences Po after passing the Baccalauréat (or a foreign equivalent) or having completed an undergraduate or graduate programme. We also welcome students with one or more years of professional experience.
Our admission procedures are designed to give all profile their best chance to integrate Sciences Po. Candidates are given the opportunity to tell us about themselves, express their motivation, academic and professional goals, and put forth their strengths. The selection is based on applicants’ background and experience as well as their motivation and academic excellence.
Undergraduate Admissions
The unified undergraduate admissions procedure is divided into two pathways corresponding to the circumstances of each candidate and based on common evaluation criteria.
Two platforms for each admissions pathway
French and international secondary school students follow the same procedure, using two different platforms:
- Parcoursup for those preparing to sit the French Baccalaureate;
- The Sciences Po admissions website for those preparing a foreign secondary school diploma.
What is the admissions procedure for candidates from secondary schools participating in our Equal Opportunity Programme (CEP)?
Applicants from CEP-approved high schools (FR) follow the same admission procedure and apply via the Parcoursup portal. Their file is processed among the files of the candidates from the CEP-approved high schools.
Dual Bachelor's Degrees
Dual degree admission is managed jointly by Sciences Po and the partner university. Depending on each programme, interested students must apply either via Parcoursup or via the Sciences Po portal, or via the partner university's website. See our website for more information.
