Economic Crisis and the Future of European Governance

Ambassador Antonio MARTINS DA CRUZ  will lead a discussion at the MPA-Sciences Po, on the continuing economic crisis in Europe and the implications for future governance in the EU. 

Ambassador DA CRUZ has more than 30 years of political experience, including roles as the Portuguese Ambassador to NATO (1994-1999) and to Spain (1999-2002). In 2002, Ambassador DA CRUZ became Portugal’s Minister for Foreign Affairs, while simultaneously holding the chairmanship of the OSCE, the world’s largest regional security organization.

Ambassador DA CRUZ  currently serves as a political affairs consultant and he also is President of the Portuguese section of the European League for Economic Cooperation (ELEC). He is a regular commentator to the media where he provides his insights on current world events.
