Speaker

Dr Kate O'Shaughnessy, Research Director, Perth USAsia Centre, University of Western Australia.

A former Australian diplomat, Dr O'Shaughnessy held Ambassadorial posts in Mauritius and the Seychelles as well as Madagascar and the Comoros. 

Her doctoral thesis in Indonesian history, Gender, State and Social Power in Contemporary Indonesia, was published by Routledge in 2009.
