Climate Transitions: A Conference for a new generation of Climate-conscious Global Leaders
About this event
From 07 November 2023 13:00 to 08 November 2023 19:00
Sciences Po, the University of Toronto, the University of British Columbia and the University of Guelph have been working over the past year to establish a framework for cross cultural learning and exchange on climate change and environmental issues. The overall goal of this developing partnership is to shape a new generation of environmentally-conscious global leaders and citizens, who will make a positive impact through evidence-based policy and community engagement that contributes to sustainable development.
This conference, which is the culmination of the initial inception phase of this partnership, will address challenges facing different dimensions of the Climate Transitions, including climate and development, urban climate transitions, energy transitions, and community-based local solutions.
Students will have the chance to exchange with experts in a series of small, closed roundtable discussions as well as a final, open panel. It will also provide a great opportunity to explore potential areas of collaboration between students from Sciences Po and its Canadian partner universities.
