This official side event of the Nutrition for Growth (N4G) Summit enabled senior global nutrition policy experts to engage and mobilize Sciences Po students in discussions on nutrition and the fight against global hunger and malnutrition. It also highlighted crucial links between nutrition, geopolitics, conflict and climate change, and underscored the need for adequate policy attention and financing to address these challenges.

The first part of the event saw a conversation with N4G Summit senior representatives from France and Japan who spoke about their countries’ respective efforts on nutrition and goals of the N4G Summit.
The second part consisted instead of a high-level panel which explored key issues regarding nutrition security and sustainable development.

A Q&A session followed moderated by PSIA Adjunct Professor Chris Hegadorn.

With:

  • H.E. Amb. Brieuc Pont, France's Special Envoy on Nutrition and Secretary-General of the Nutrition for Growth Summit
  • H.E. Amb Ryo Nakamura, Deputy Minister, Director-General for Global Affairs at the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs
  • Dr. Lawrence Haddad, GAIN Executive Director
  • Afshan Khan, UN Assistant Secretary-General, Coordinator of SUN Movement
  • Dr. Ismahane Elouafi, CGIAR Executive Managing Director
  • Audrey Pulvar, City of Paris, Assistant Mayor
