The PCC holds the hegemony of crime in São Paulo and has a growing transnational presence. It has now become the largest criminal organisation in Latin America, and it extends to other continents as well. The documentary series 'PCC Secret Power' (HBO Max, 2022) adapts the ethnographic book "Irmãos" (Gabriel Feltran, 2018) in 4 episodes. Narrated by the "brothers" and those who have had their lives traversed by them, the first episode narrates the rise of the organisation and the ways in which it pacified an urban war. Ruthless against its enemies, the organisation also seems to be, to this day, indestructible in its ideals. After the screening, experts will discuss the problem of crime and illegal markets in Europe, where the PCC has already arrived.
