A new scholarship for Filipino students
The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) of the Philippines has signed an agreement with Sciences Po to finance at least ten full scholarships for Filipino students admitted to Sciences Po at graduate level. Each scholarship covers tuition fees, living expenses, health insurance, the visa application and a return airfare ticket. In addition, Sciences Po will help subsidise scholarship students’ tuition fees. Find out more about this scholarship for Filipino students.
In 2000, Sciences Po established an exchange programme with the Philippines’ leading university in the social sciences, Ateneo University in Manila. In 2011, another academic cooperation agreement was signed with the University of the Philippines (UP). Today, some twenty Filipino students are enrolled at Sciences Po but the cost of living and education remains a major obstacle for most students in the Philippines who would like to do the same. The scholarship offered jointly by CHED, Sciences Po and the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs is an essential step toward removing this financial impediment.
