An Agreement with Universität Heidelberg and the Max Planck Institute for Comparative Public Law and International Law

On 23 June 2015, Sciences Po signed an exchange and partnership agreement for PhDs and post-doctoral research with Universität Heidelberg and the Max Planck Institute for Comparative Public Law and International Law in Heidelberg.

This agreement will allow Sciences Po PhD students and post-doctoral researchers to conduct research at the Max Planck Institute in Heidelberg, and enjoy the use of the institute’s facilities as well as those of Universität Heidelberg's Law Faculty. Sciences Po's Law School will host PhD students and post-doctoral researchers from Heidelberg.

Students and researchers will contribute to a common research programme entitled "French and German perspectives on an international legal system in transformation", taking advantage of a transnational and cross-cutting outlook on the world's legal structures. The project draws on the disciplines of international relations and sociology of law, and offers publication opportunities for participants. This agreement is the newest of several productive partnerships  Sciences Po maintains with Universität Heidelberg's political science, sociology, and history of art departments.
