"Feminism is a revolutionary struggle"
On 1 October 2015, the HeForShe team made a stop at Sciences Po as part of its University Bus Tour.
The tour has already been around the United States and Great Britain, and is heading on to Africa and Latin America.
“The future of our society depends on our ability to solve the issue of gender inequality”, said Sciences Po President Frédéric Mion, one of the IMPACT 10x10x10 champions, during a conference on men’s commitment to gender equality. Watch the video of the conference featuring Elizabeth Nyamayaro, senior advisor to the executive director of UN Women and head of the @HeForShe Campaign.
Created by UN Women, HeForShe is a global solidarity movement that calls upon men and boys to take action and advocate for gender equality. Following the example of HeForShe ambassador Emma Watson, many leading figures have committed to gender equality, and Sciences Po President Frédéric Mion is one of them. On 18 June 2015, Frédéric Mion joined UN Women’s HeForShe solidarity movement as an IMPACT 10x10x10 champion, making Sciences Po one of 10 universities around the world committing to take bold, game-changing action to achieve gender equality within and beyond their institutions.
