Prize: Franck Gbaguidi, Laureate of the GreenBiz 30 Under 30 Award

Franck Gbaguidi, a 2018 graduate of Sciences Po's School of Public Affairs, has been named by GreenBiz as one of the 30 most influential people under 30 in the climate field. This inspiring alumnus has succeeded in reconciling finance and climate change.

The 30 laureates of the eighth edition of GreenBiz 30 Under 30 represent a wide range of geographical areas, from the United Arab Emirates to the United States. They seek to initiate large-scale change through their work with NGOs or multinationals such as Disney or Nike.

Quote from the laureate: I'm fully aware that my path in the world of sustainable development is unusual, especially for people who are like me and who are just as passionate.

Our prize winner, who followed the Energy, Environment and Sustainability stream, is currently director of sustainable development at Eurasia Group. At this political risk research and consultancy firm, he advises some of the world's leading financial institutions, businesses and government agencies on environmental regulation and sustainable development policy.

Franck Gbaguidi's move to the private sector follows his early successes in the public sector, including working with the World Bank Group on climate policies for developing economies. He has carried out research on carbon risk management for the European Investment Bank, instituting clean domestic cooking solutions in Uganda, and conducted research on North American energy policy, leading a project on environmental crime in sub-Saharan Africa. He has also worked as a climate advisor to the CEO of the International Finance Corporation.

In addition to this, Franck Gbaguidi, now 29, has completed three bachelor's degrees and four master's degrees focusing on sustainability, including the Master at Sciences Po's School of Public Affairs.

Congratulations to him!
