Sciences Po is the second most popular French university for Erasmus students
In 2017, the Erasmus programme celebrates its 30th anniversary. Each year, more than 600 Erasmus students representing more than 50 nationalities choose one of Sciences Po’s seven campuses in France for their study abroad, making Sciences Po the second most popular French university for Erasmus students, just after the University of Strasbourg*. Why do so many Erasmus students choose Sciences Po?
Engage with a unique multicultural community of top international students on seven campuses
At Sciences Po, nearly half of the students come from outside France. Our international students represent more than 150 countries and many of the world’s leading institutions. This multicultural environment means that Erasmus students at Sciences Po live and study in constant interaction with different cultures and viewpoints on our seven campuses in France.
Enrol in a certificate programme in Reims
For undergraduate exchange students who want to build their international profile, the Reims campus offers four certificates: International Affairs and Strategy, European Affairs, Economics and Business, and Journalism. The certificate programmes take one semester to complete. Students spending two semesters at Sciences Po can choose to follow two certificate programmes.
Develop critical thinking skills and a broad understanding of the social sciences
Education at Sciences Po fosters dialogue between the major disciplines of the social sciences – economics, history, political science, law and sociology. It gives students the tools they need to understand the contemporary world.
Students also develop critical thinking and public speaking skills through pedagogical methods that favour group projects, oral presentations and the confrontation of ideas. By providing a multidisciplinary approach and a range of electives, such as artistic workshops, Sciences Po encourages students to adopt different perspectives.
Benefit from financial aid, even if you are not a European Union resident
In 2015-2016 at Sciences Po, 660 exchange students from the European Union received the Erasmus+ grant. Since June 2016, as part of the Erasmus+ International Mobility Programme, Sciences Po welcomes and provides financial support to students from countries outside the European Union such as South Africa, Russia, India, Israel, Jordan, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, Serbia and Ukraine.
