Sciences Po Students congratulated by Members of parliament
On Thursday 10 April 2014, five students of the Paris School of International Affairs of Sciences Po (PSIA) had the honour of going before the French National Assembly to present their project supporting the French application for the 2025 World Exhibition.
This proposal is the fruit of a semester-long project by more than 60 PSIA students, representing 25 nationalities. Their engagement in this project contributed to the development of a convincing proposal for a French application on the theme « Many Lives. One Nature ».
The Members of Parliament who attended the presentation by the PSIA students particularly appreciated the dynamism, the intelligence and the modernity of their reflection. Indeed, the students’ project proposes reinventing the DNA of the World Exhibitions by reinventing France!
Amongst the many academic partners of the Expo France 2025 project, Sciences Po is one of the two partners selected to present their work to the Members of Parliament. Students of the Michel Serres Center also presented their project.
This project perfectly illustrates Sciences Po’s pedagogical approach. It interlaces innovation, academic fundamentals and practical exposure. It is also an opportunity for students to exercise their skills as agents of social change and to engage themselves in major social issues.
