“We want to show that we can succeed”
Sciences Po created the Equal Opportunity and Diversity Programme in 2001. This pioneering programme, which remains unique, enables Sciences Po to recruit high-potential students at partner high schools in disadvantaged areas in France.
Every year, more than 100 students are admitted to Sciences Po through this programme. The students recruited in this way represent 10% of our student community.
To attract these students, Sciences Po designed a specific admission procedure. Hear from some of the students preparing for the Sciences Po entrance exam through this procedure.
Several admissions procedures for a greater diversity of profiles
To constitute and maintain a truly diverse, multicultural community, Sciences Po offers different procedures for undergraduate admission. These include an international admissions procedure designed for candidates who are sitting the French Baccalauréat abroad or are to receive a foreign secondary school qualification.
Thanks to these various recruitment procedures, 46 percent of Sciences Po’s 13,000 students are international students from 140 countries.
