Environment: Sciences Po Welcomes 10 of the World’s Best Young Researchers

Launched at the instigation of Bruno Latour in 2022, the Bruno Latour Fund is an ambitious postdoctoral research programme, on an unprecedented scale, hosted at Sciences Po and dedicated to the study of environmental and climatic transformations.

The Bruno Latour Fund provides a three-year residency at Sciences Po for a cohort of ten young researchers wishing to build a multidisciplinary initiative on how the climate crisis is reshaping the contemporary economic, social, legal and political order, and how it is inviting us to reconsider our history.

The Fund is part of Sciences Po's Institute for Environmental Transformations and contributes to strengthening research, teaching and the dissemination of knowledge on this cross-cutting theme.. It is co-directed by Pierre Charbonnier and Charlotte Halpern (who is also the director of the Institute for Environmental Transformations), both researchers at Sciences Po's Centre for European Studies and Comparative Politics (CEE).

Epidemics, the Arctic, minerals, degrowth, food... Discover the profiles and research fields of the ten young researchers recruited from all over the world!

You can also watch the first episode of our Human After All video series, which presents the research work of Pia Bailleul.

The Bruno Latour Fund is supported by our partners: ADEME, Caisse des Dépôts, BNP Paribas, Fondation Daniel et Nina Carasso, Rothschild & Co, VINCI, VINCI Autoroutes, and Leonard.
