Teaching Staff
Richard Balme
Professor Richard Balme directs the Executive Master in Development Policies and Management – Potentiel Afrique, at Sciences Po Executive Education in addition to the Master in International Governance and Diplomacy at the Paris School of International Affairs (PSIA). He also teaches comparative politics in Asia at the undergraduate college of Sciences Po.
Richard Balme is also an associate researcher at the Asian Energy Studies Centre of Hong Kong Baptist University, at China Policy in Beijing, and at the Centre for Earth Politics of Paris-Cité University and Sciences Po.
A member of the Board of the Institute of Political Studies of Paris, he was the Alliance Visiting Professor 2017-2018 at Columbia University in New York and regularly teaches at Tsinghua University in Beijing.
Michel Barabel
Michel Barabel is a Senior Lecturer in human resource management, Director of Editions/Publications at Label RH, and Deputy Editor-in-Chief of RH Magazine. Author of works such as "Quand les start-up, scale-up et licornes réinventent les RH," he specialises in human resource management, intercultural management, and digital transformations, among other areas.
He advises on the management of major corporations and contributes as a columnist to professional journals and magazines. Michel Barabel is an Affiliated Professor at Sciences Po Executive Education and the Academic Director of the Executive Master in Human Resources.
Henri Bergeron
Henri Bergeron holds a DEA (Diploma of Advanced Studies) and a PhD in Organisational Sociology from Sciences Po (1997). A CNRS research fellow, he teaches Organisational Sociology at Sciences Po at both the undergraduate and Executive Education levels. Within Sciences Po, he holds the Chair of Organisational and Work Transformation, is the Director of the Masters in Organisational and Human Resource Management, Director of the Health Policies Research Group at the Laboratory for Interdisciplinary Evaluation of Public Policies (LIEPP), Scientific coordinator of the Sciences Po-FNSP Health Studies Chair, and Co-chair of the "Digital, Organisations and Public Affairs" Chair. He served as the Director of the Executive Master in Public Policy Management from 2017 to 2024. He is now the Academic Director of the Executive Master of Public Administration at Sciences Po Executive Education.
Nicolas Bordas
Author of "L’idée qui tue: Politique, business, culture... Les 10 secrets des idées qui durent" published by Eyrolles, Nicolas Bordas is the International Vice President of TBWA Worldwide. An ESSEC graduate, he began his career in the early 1980s as an advertising manager at Dupuy Saatchi, then spent six years at CLM/BBDO. He advises companies in developing their communication, brand, and design strategies. He is an Affiliated Professor at the School of Management and Impact at Sciences Po and has been the Academic Director of the Executive Master in Communication at Sciences Po Executive Education since 2015.
Patrick Castel
Patrick Castel is the Deputy Director of the Centre for the Organisational Sociology (CSO) at Sciences Po and a research director focusing on work organisation, conditions of cooperation, and decision-making for professionals in the healthcare sector amongst others.
He also serves as the scientific coordinator of the Chair for the Transformation of Organizations and Work, is a member of the Scientific Council of the ANSM, and belongs to the "Evaluation, Strategy, and Prospective in Public Health" working group of the HCSP. Within Sciences Po Executive Education, Patrick Castel is the Co-Director of the Executive Master in Public Policy Management.
Eric-Jean Garcia
Eric-Jean Garcia holds a MPhil (Master of Philosophy) from the Institute of Education, University of London, and a PhD in Leadership Development in Executive Education from University College London (UCL), as well as an MBA in International Management from the University of Dallas (Texas, USA). At Sciences Po Executive Education, Eric-Jean Garcia co-directs the Executive Master in Strategy and Leadership for Legal Executives in partnership with the Cercle Montesquieu and the Sciences Po Law School. Additionally, from 2010 to 2021, he led the Executive Master in Management and several custom programmes for leading organisations.
Charlotte Halpern
Charlotte Halpern holds a DEA and a PhD (2006) in Political Science and is a researcher at the Centre for European Studies and Comparative Politics at Sciences Po. In addition to her own research topics, she is a member of the scientific council of Ihédate and the steering committee of CIERA, contributes to research activities including the "Energy Transition(s)" seminar (CEE), the "State and Public Policies" axis (CEE), is a member of the steering committee of CIERA, has been elected to the unit council of CEE (since 2017), the Scientific Council of Sciences Po (since 2016), and is co-representative of Sciences Po at the Centre for Earth Politics (University of Paris and Sciences Po). Within Sciences Po Executive Education, she serves as the Academic Director of the Executive Master in Territorial Governance and Urban Development.
Nordine Kireche
Nordine Kireche holds a PhD in Political Science. He specialises in real estate finance and national and local housing policies. From 2006 to 2010, he served as the Deputy General Delegate of the French Association of Diversity Managers.
He is a lecturer at Sciences Po and directs the Cities, Housing, and Real Estate Chair at the Urban School of Sciences Po. He also is the Director of the Executive Master in Strategy and Finance for Sustainable Real Estate Development at Sciences Po Executive Education.
Clément Lacouette-Fougère
Clément Lacouette-Fougère is an Associate Researcher at the Health Chair of Sciences Po. He teaches at the School of Public Affairs and also lectures at the Paris School of International Affairs. Additionally, Clément Lacouette-Fougère co-leads a seminar on expertise and public action evaluation at Sciences Po Saint-Germain-en-Laye and teaches at ESCP Business School as well as École Polytechnique. At Sciences Po Executive Education, he serves as co-director of the Executive Master in Public Policy Management. Clément Lacouette-Fougère is also a member of the scientific committee of the journal "Politiques et Management Public", a board member of the Société Française d’Évaluation (SFE), and an expert advisor to the Cour des Comptes.
Valérie Peugeot
Valérie Peugeot, a researcher in digital sociology at Orange Labs, is also a member of the board of commissioners of the French National Commission on Informatics and Liberty (CNIL). After serving as the vice-president of the French Digital Council from 2013 to 2015, she joined the CNIL in April 2016, focusing on the protection of health data. Additionally, she is a member of the Board of Directors of the Crédit Coopératif Foundation.
Martin Richer
An HEC graduate, Martin Richer has spent the majority of his career in Consulting and Marketing for high-technology solutions in France and the United States. He notably served as the Marketing Director of Oracle Europe and Vice-President Europe at BroadVision.
He joined the Alpha Group in 2003 and became a member of its Executive Committee while also managing its largest subsidiary (600 consultants) from 2007 to 2011.
He founded and leads the consultancy firm Management & CSR, advising clients to implement innovative approaches to CSR.
At Sciences Po Executive Education, Martin Richer is the Director of the Executive Master in Management.
Françoise Schoenberger
Social Strategy Advisor at LVMH Group. With a Masters degree (DEA) in Economic and Social Law from Paris-Dauphine University, Françoise Schoenberger served as Social Development Director at LVMH Group, and held the position of Director of Social Relations in France at L'Oréal Group for over 30 years, overseeing social development policies. Françoise Schoenberger is an affiliated professor at Sciences Po Executive Education and co-director of the Executive Masters in Social Dialogue and Corporate Strategy.
Jean-Dominique Simonpoli
Jean-Dominique Simonpoli holds a DEA in Economic and Social Administration from Sciences Po. He was a leader within the CGT trade union and led, organised, and developed the Dialogues association from 2003 to 2021. He specialises in social openness and social dialogue issues. He co-authored the book "Le Dialogue social en France" with Guy Groux (2019).
Since 2020, he has been the Chairman of the Board of the National Institute of Labour, Employment, and Professional Training. He is the Co-Director of the Executive Master in Social Dialogue and Corporate Strategy at Labour Relations and Corporate Strategy.
Didier Tabuteau
Vice-President of the Conseil d'État, Didier Tabuteau is an expert in health and social security matters. He notably served as the General Director of the Agence du Médicament until 1997 and as Deputy Director of the Cabinet of the Minister of Employment and Solidarity from 1997 to 2000. In 2017, he was appointed Deputy Chairman of the Social Section of the cabinet, and the following year became the Chairman of the section. He held the position of Director of the Health Chair at Sciences Po until 2018. He is the Director of the Executive Master in Health and Public Policy Management at Sciences Po Executive Education.
