À propos de cet événement
Le 10 mai 2022 de 18:45 à 20:30
Despite the internet’s many benefits, today’s tech structure has created inequities in the online economy, and social media’s role in eroding trust and incentivizing the spread of misinformation has been proven.
On May 10, the McCourt Institute will host Ethan Zuckerman, associate professor of public policy, information and communication at the University of Massachusetts, and director of the Institute for Digital Public Infrastructure, for a keynote on competing visions for the future of social media, and conversation with Bruno Patino and Julia Cagé on the evolving structures of information-sharing in the public space and how to chart a better path forward.
Guest speakers:
- Ethan Zuckerman, Associate Professor of public policy, information and communication, University of Massachusetts; Director, UMass Institute for Digital Public Infrastructure
- Bruno Patino, President of ARTE, former Dean of Sciences Po’s School of Journalism
- Julia Cagé, Associate Professor of Economics, Department of Economics, Sciences Po Paris; Research Fellow, Center for Economic Policy Research (CEPR).
