Roma Housing Discrimination and Deprivation in European Cities. Problems and solutions from cities, regions, states and the European Union.
This conference will discuss the housing discrimination Roma are facing in Europe. It will present the main results of the R-Home comparative research programme on housing policies for Roma in France, Italy, Hungary, Romania, and Spain.
A special focus will be dedicated to the French situation in the Paris metropolitan region. What are the mechanisms and policy processes that help to combat housing discrimination? We will point at problems as well as at methods, policy instruments, funding programs, and multilevel governance modes to face them. Presentations will be short, and half of the time will be dedicated to true interaction with the audience in the room.
