Edenz Maurice is the Scientific Secretary for the Mission for Prefectural History and an Associate Researcher at the Centre d'histoire de Sciences Po (CHSP-Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Paris).
He has defended a Ph.D. under the supervision of Romain Bertrand (Sciences Po-CERI) which analyses the governance of the colonial State in French Guiana through the prism of its action in the field of education between the late 1920s and early 1950s. Since then, his work has focused on the history and socio-politics of the State and education in the colonial and post-colonial context of the French Overseas Territories.
