Appel à candidatures pour les allocations de thèse en histoire du ministère des Armées #Edition 2022 #Recherche historique

Le ministère des Armées attribue au titre de l’année 2022 jusqu’à trois allocations de thèse en histoire militaire.
Le montant de l’allocation est de 10 000 euros.
Ces allocations sont ouvertes à tout candidat inscrit en thèse au moment du dépôt de dossier de candidature, à l'exception des doctorants bénéficiant d'un contrat doctoral.

Bienvenue à Thomas BottELIER !

Nous accueillerons à compter du 1er février 2022 et pour 2 ans Thomas Bottelier, post-doctorant Marie Curie.

Thomas Bottelier joined the Centre for History at Sciences Po Paris as a Marie Curie Fellow. At the Centre, working with Prof Guillaume, he is developing a project, titled ‘Mobilising the World’, that aims to recover the history of the transnational Allied effort to coordinate war production and logistics, and mobilise (and later demobilise) global markets during the Second World War. The key claim is that the war, commonly remembered the nadir of an era of nationalism and destructive ‘deglobalisation’, in fact also created radically new forms of globalisation.
Born and raised in the Caribbean and Latin America but of Dutch citizenship, Thomas read Social History at Erasmus University Rotterdam and Political and Social Sciences at the European University Institute (Florence), and took his PhD in History at King’s College London in 2019. Before coming to Sciences Po, he taught Political History at the University of Utrecht. Thomas’s main research interests are in the history of war and of internationalism, as well as political economy. His work has been published in The International History Review, European Review of History, Journal of Strategic Studies and E- International Relations and a book manuscript as well as an edited volume are under review by major university presses. Besides that, he is currently trying to learn Korean and become fluent in French, and should probably spend more time in the archives.
