Building Bridges: Shaping Global AI Governance through Multistakerholder Collaboration

The event explores the role of multistakeholder collaboration in shaping global AI governance. It will convene experts from the public sector, private sector, civil society, and academia to address key questions: how collaboration can be fostered, in which (technical) areas it is most desirable, and through which forums it can be achieved. Central to the panel is discussing the opportunities and challenges associated with such collaboration, as well as advancing ideas for developing existing forums, such as the government-led International Network of AI Safety Institutes and the industry-led Frontier Model Forum.

- Florence G’sell, Visiting Professor at Stanford University and Director of the Program on Governance of Emerging Technologies
- Alejandro Ortega, Research Fellow at Apollo Research
- Zaheed Kara, AI Safety Manager at the Frontier Model Forum
- David Hagebölling, Senior Policy Advisor for Multilateral Digital Policy, G7, G20, OECD, and Multistakeholder Processes at the German Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport
