Coming to Sciences Po on exchange
Sciences Po offers an exciting international exchange programme, facilitated by its 480 partnerships with universities around the world. Every year, the university welcomes more than 2,200 exchange students from across this vast network.
Students at our partner universities abroad may spend one or two semesters studying at Sciences Po, at Bachelor’s, Master’s or doctoral level. They are fully integrated into our student community and participate actively in the vibrant life on campus.
Choosing an exchange programme
To be eligible for the Bachelor's exchange programme at the Sciences Po Undergraduate College, students at partner universities must have completed at least four semesters of higher education and been selected for the exchange by their home university.
Students on the exchange programme join the Undergraduate College courses on one of Sciences Po’s seven campuses: Dijon, Le Havre, Menton, Nancy, Paris, Poitiers or Reims.
Our six regional campuses offer students the opportunity to specialise in issues specific to a particular geographic area: European Union, Central and Eastern Europe (Dijon Campus), Asia-Pacific (Le Havre Campus), Mediterranean and Middle East (Menton Campus), European Union and Franco-German partnership (Nancy Campus), Latin America and the Caribbean (Poitiers Campus), North America or Africa (Reims Campus).
All six campuses have a strong cultural identity, with both students and faculty forming a tight-knit community. They also offer excellent living conditions and student support from academic and administrative staff.
Campus allocation is partly determined by the language in which exchange students wish to study, their linguistic competency and campus capacity.
Language requirements vary by campus and some exchange students may be exempt from the relevant language test.

Our Master’s exchange programme is open to all students at our partner universities who hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (comprising at least three full years of higher education).
The majority of Master’s programmes at Sciences Po are open to exchange students, although some have linguistic and/or academic requirements. Students are accepted onto one Master’s programme, and may not attend the courses of any other Master’s programmes.
All Master’s exchange students at Sciences Po study on the Paris Campus. They join the same courses as students enrolled in the full degree programme and are fully integrated into the student community.

Exchange students may take their courses in French, English or both languages. The language requirements vary by programme. Some programmes require students to take an official English- or French-language test as part of their application. Students who meet certain conditions may be exempt from the tests.
How do I apply?
The exchange programme is open to students enrolled at Sciences Po’s partner universities. If your university is partnered with us, the first step is to check with staff there whether you are eligible to study abroad at Sciences Po.
