Master in Journalism

For Sciences Po students: 

if you are in your third year at Sciences Po as an undergrade College student, the end of a gap year between Bachelor's and Master's, or even in a Sciences Po's master degree, please apply here

To apply for a two-year Master’s degree at Sciences Po and/or a graduate double degree, please select:

  • the domestic procedure: for applicants who have obtained, or will obtain by the end of the current academic year, a French undergraduate degree or 180 ECTS credits from an institution located either in France or abroad
  • the international procedure: for applicants who have obtained, or will obtain by the end of the current academic year, a non-French Bachelor’s degree (or 180 ECTS credits) from an institution located either in France or abroad

Dual degree in Journalism between Sciences Po and Columbia

Students attending the Master's degree in journalism at Columbia University or at Sciences Po University are the only ones who can apply for the dual degree. They have to do so during their first academic year.

Up to ten students are selected every year, five from Sciences Po's School of journalism and five from Columbia University.

The applications are reviewed both by Sciences Po University and by Columbia, which set up a common jury for all candidates.

Students attending Sciences Po School of journalism can apply for the dual degree by filling the application form for Columbia University, accessible online. They have to apply by December 15. Here are the required application materials.
