LIEPP/LIED joint seminars

LIED (the Interdisciplinary Energy Research Institute) and LIEPP's Environmental Policies research group organize joint seminars on themes of shared interest. The structure of these seminars is as follows: a common theme, 2 to 3 speakers from different disciplines, with a presentation of around 30 minutes each, followed by a debate, moderated by a member of each research team, between the speakers and the audience.

The interdisciplinary conferences of the  Interdisciplinary Energy Research Institute mirror the interdisciplinary thinking that is the hallmark of LIED, combining the human and social sciences with the natural sciences. They address the economic, sociological, biological, anthropological and technical aspects of the energy and climate transitions at the heart of the laboratory's project. Climate data, textiles past and present, and the nitrogen cycle are just some of the topics covered.

The “Rencontres interdisciplinaires du LIED” are also an opportunity to forge partnerships with other structures involved in complementary research, such as the Laboratory for Interdisciplinary Evaluation of Public Policies (LIEPP). These meetings are currently run by a team of three people representing the three components of LIED (Biology, Human and Social Sciences, Physics).
