Project description :
The research project aims to update and enrich knowledge of the dynamics of poverty by using the Statistical panel on resources and living conditions (SRCV) of Insee, its European component (EU-SILC), and of the permanent demographic sample (EDP). More precisely, the goal is to better understand the phenomena of recurrent versus temporary forms poverty from a comparative perspective within the European Union. It will also study the determinants and consequences of these different poverty trajectories. This should make it possible to produce an empirically founded analysis of poverty trajectories in contemporary times, and lead to different orientations of public policies.
