Bio :Carrie Shandra is a Sociologist at the State University of New York at Stony Brook who studies work and life course inequalities in the United States. Her current research focuses on three areas: (1) disability and nonmarket work, (2) adolescent disability and employment trajectories, and (3) internships and the college to career transition. She has been a Visiting Scholar at the Russell Sage foundation, a Research Fellow of the National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research, and a Postdoctoral Fellow of the National Academy of Education/Spencer Foundation. She received her Ph.D. from Brown University.
