Bio :Dimitri A. Sotiropoulos is associate professor of political science at the Department of Political Science and Public Administration of the University of Athens. He has studied law, sociology and political science at the Law School of the University of Athens (LLB), the London School of Economics (MSc) and Yale University (MA, M.Phil. and Ph.D., awarded with distinction, 1991). In 1995-1996 he taught at the Juan March Institute in Madrid, in 2003 he was Visiting Fellow at the Hellenic Observatory of the European Institute of the London School of Economics, in 2009-2010 he was Visiting Fellow in South East European Studies at the Centre for European Studies, St. Antony’s College, Oxford. Currently he does research on corruption and anti-corruption, civil society and the crisis in Greece. He serves on the editorial board of the academic journals South European Society and Politics, European Political Science Review, South East European and Black Sea Studies, and the advisory boards of the journals Mediterranean Politics and the Greek Review of Political Science. He is also Research Associate of the Hellenic Observatory of the London School of Economics and Senior Research Fellow of the think-tank ELIAMEP (Athens). Contributions :Dimitri A. Sotiropoulos presents his paper entitled "The Quality of Democracy and Populism in Western Balkans in the Comparative Perspective of Contemporary European Politics" in a seminar organized by LIEPP on October 6th, 2016.
