Technology and global affairs innovation hub
The aim of the Hub is to train and support actors and decision-makers who want to harness technological innovation to meet the major challenges of our time.
The primary mission of the Technology and Global Affairs Innovation Hub is to accelerate technology and collaborative governance to meet contemporary challenges.
The Hub pursues its objectives in three key areas:
- Creating educational resources, for students and practitioners (industry, politics, civil society), to enlighten and empower current and future decision-makers facing issues at the crossroads of technology and international affairs.
- Organising events that bring together practitioners and stakeholders to discuss emerging issues and develop diplomatic, political and technological tools to advance innovation for the common good.
- Accelerating innovative technological projects and governance solutions to meet major contemporary and future challenges (e.g. healthcare, security and sovereignty, economic development, etc.).
An international, multi-stakeholder network serving the common good
The Hub is part of PSIA, which has a vast network: international organisations and think-tanks, transnational companies, academia, and international NGO networks.
Thematic research programmes
The Hub works with renowned Sciences Po researchers and experts. It is home to research programmes on topics such as AI and democracy, encryption, digital identity and digital sovereignty.
The Hub is at the heart of a collaborative network within Sciences Po (MediaLab, CEVIPOF, Centre for Entrepreneurship, etc.). It also benefits from an extensive network of collaborations with European and international universities (e.g. EUI, IE Madrid, Yale, John Hopkins, etc.)
The three core themes are:
- Technology & democracy (AI and elections, governance, digital diplomacy, etc.)
- Defence and cyber-security (digital identity, digital resilience, etc.)
