New Solidarity for an AI-disrupted Economy workshop with GSI & RadicalXChange
About this event
15 January 2025 from 14:00 until 19:00
On Wednesday 15 January 2025, the PSIA Tech & Global Affairs Innovation Hub is partnering with the Global Solutions Initiative and RadicalxChange to bring together a high-level workshop dedicated to the protection of workers' and citizens' rights in the post-AI economy.
The event will convene leading European policymakers, industry experts, academics, union and civil society leaders to develop concrete policy strategies and initiatives to help workers navigate the disruptions brought by AI on labor markets across countries. The elaboration of new forms of collective actions and intermediaries, such as "data coalitions" that would negotiate rights for AI companies' use of large datasets while advocating for human and public interests, will be at the center of this conversation designed to identify interfaces with existing efforts and critical policy actions needed in the coming years to ensure a fair and equitable labor economy in the AI era.
Some of the distinguished speakers that will join the conversation:
- Christian Kastrop, CEO & Partner of Global Solutions Initiative
- Chris Boos, CEO of Almato AI & Former Member of the German Government's Digital Council
- Ana Dujić, Director-General of the Directorate "Digital, Work, Society" at the German Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs
- Matt Prewitt, President of RadicalxChange Foundation
- Paul Nemitz, Principal Adviser on the Digital Transition, DG Justice and Consumers, European Commission
- Miapetra Kumpula-Natri, Member of European Parliament (2014-2024) & Member of the Parliament of Finland (2003-2014 and again 2024-)
