Renaissance Numérique publishes AI Governance report with Hub's contributions
After three AI Dialogues, two of which were hosted by Sciences Po's Tech & Global Affairs Innovation Hub, French digital governance think tank Renaissance Numérique published the final version of its report titled AI Governance: Empowering Civil Society.
Featuring contributions from Senior Advisor Constance de Leusse and Advisor Pierre Noro, as well as experts from Hub's partner Microsoft, such as Amanda Craig, this report offers a deep dive in the role civil society plays in the current and futur AI governance landscape.
The result of a large multistakeholder consultation enriched by months of research, it provides foundational definitions to map existing civil society initiatives in AI governance, identifies key challenges to this involvement, and concludes on a call to action initially presented of the AI Action Summit in Paris, urging policymakers to:
- Support more open and transparent selection processes for participation
- Impose a duty to respond to contributions
- Facilitate funding towards organizations
