Programme:
Dr Fatih Birol, the Executive Director of the International Energy Agency, will provide an overview of the main challenges confronting the global energy system, one year after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, and what are the lessons we can draw of the first global energy crisis. The IEA has been working on the frontline of the energy and climate crisis and is supporting governments and industry in their response while ensuring that climate ambitions are turned into action in order to meet our climate targets.
The debate will be moderated by Prof. Marc Ringel, Chairholder of the European Chair for Sustainable Development and Climate Transition at Sciences Po.
Introduction by Philippe Martin, Dean of the School of Public Affairs.
