Closing session of the Green Finance Challenge with HSBC & Fresque du climat, Wednesday 28 June

On Wednesday 28 June, students that had participated in the Green Finance Challenge with HSBC, organised by the Chair during the Spring Semester, came together to the HSBC Offices to present their findings for each of the topics and engage in a Fresque du Climat facilitated by HSBC.

The four groups presented their work, including methodology for their research, case studies and main takeaways. Afterwards, it was time for an engaging activity while the groups mingled with each other and had the chance to meet face-to-face their mentors and other HSBC people involved in the challenge, while everyone took part in the ‘Fresque du Climat’.

This was the first challenge hosted by the Chair, which meant there was lots to learn in terms of organising and facilitating, but we are confident that Sciences Po students were able to make the most out of this unique experience and that their direct contact with people working first-hand in ESG research and asset management has taught them valuable lessons about ESG, from measuring indirect emissions of companies to adapting to new EU taxonomy, enhancing their DE&I or integrating biodiversity measures. We hope that this opportunity will inspire them in their careers and spark their curiosity about green finance and other key challenges brought by developments in climate policy and regulation.

Thank you to everyone that took part in this challenge and everyone that made it happen!
