Take part in the Chair’s Green Finance Challenge with HSBC Continental Europe!
All current students of Paris School of International Affairs (PSIA) and the École d’Affaires Publiques (EAP) are invited to take part in the Chair’s 2024 autumn semester student challenge.
The Green Finance Challenge
You will be assigned to a mentor or a group of mentors from HSBC Continental Europe to work on one of the themes below, in small groups, in order to produce a brief report. This challenge offers a unique opportunity for Sciences Po students to work on concrete projects in sustainable finance and benefit from the expertise of HSBC professionals.
Themes and Mentors
How will EU regulations (CSRD, SFDR, Taxonomy) help SMEs with their transition plans? HSBC Mentors: Marion Guenebeaud, Thomas Caron, and Guylaine Deniel
How can the link between CSR/ESG and a company’s performance and its investments be demonstrated? HSBC Mentors: Celine Boue, Celine Grillet, and Stephanie Pleynet Jesus
Investments in commodities (gold/precious metals): Can this be considered a sustainable investment? HSBC Mentors: Laura Demajean

Project Launch Event (25 September 2024), a great opportunity to exchange with all participants: Sciences Po students, Chair researchers and HSBC professionals.
Closing Event(date to be announced), to celebrate your achievements with a final pitch presentation, followed by a networking cocktail reception.
How to Apply
Applications for this year’s challenge have now closed. Those who have applied will receive a response by mid-September indicating whether they have been selected.
