European industries are facing a challenging time with fierce global competition and high energy costs. The Clean Industrial Deal is the EU’s plan for competitiveness and decarbonisation, following up on the European Green Deal. It outlines concrete actions to turn decarbonisation into a driver of growth for European industries. This includes lowering energy prices, creating quality jobs and the right conditions for companies to thrive. Still a key question remains: Is this enough to ensure the EU’s competitiveness in a turbulent and fundamentally changing global environment?
