2023 PSIA Inaugural Lesson

The Paris School of International Affairs is delighted to welcome Samantha Cristoforetti, who will deliver the inaugural lesson to PSIA's Class of 2025. The Inaugural Lesson is a long-standing tradition, whereby each new PSIA class is addressed by, and then has the chance to engage with, a renowned public figure.

Samantha Cristoforetti is a European Space Agency astronaut, who has completed two missions to Space. She is first European woman to carry out a spacewalk, and became the first European female commander of the International Space Station.

Mathias Vicherat, President of Sciences Po, introduced the inaugural lesson. Arancha González, Dean of PSIA, exchanged with Ms Cristoforetti and moderated the discussion with students.
