On the eve of the AI Action Summit, PSIA is delighted to host an event about the transformative potential of open-source AI in fostering equity, addressing disinformation, and democratizing access for the global majority. Dean Arancha González will moderate a discussion featuring Maria Ressa, Nobel Laureate and journalist, and Vilas Dhar, President of the Patrick J. McGovern Foundation.

This discussion will explore the role of credible AI systems in shaping narratives, ensuring transparency, and bridging global compute disparities for a more inclusive future.

The discussion will be introduced by Alessandra Pereira Hermida, a PSIA student on the Master in International Security.
