Practising Diplomacy at the Paris School of International Affairs

Why does our School of International Affairs attract some of the best students from all over the world every year?

The Paris School of International Affairs (PSIA) at Sciences Po offers a comprehensive education in through our eight Master’s programmes in the most salient fields of international affairs. Graduates embark on careers as officials, diplomats, and stakeholders in international affairs; they work across the globe and in all sectors.

The 2024 graduation ceremony was an opportunity for students to discover a video presentation of their graduate school, highlighting specific teaching tools such as :

  • the NATO Model Event, which allows students to practise diplomacy by teaching them how to negotiate, find allies and finally reach a compromise,
  • the Normandy Staff Ride, a field trip to look back at the Allies strategy to liberate France in 1944,
  • the ‘I Lived to Tell and Died Telling’ podcast from the Victims Rights class, which focuses on journalists working in southern Lebanon,
  • the Capstone Project, a component of the One-Year Master in Advanced Global Studies course which gives students the opportunity to work with an international organisation on a specific topic,
  • Sciences Po Careers' International Organisations Day, which invites recruiters from international organisations to meet with students.
