What is your role and main responsibilities?
Im responsible for conducting ethnographic and mixed qualitative methods research to power the insights we share with both commercial and non-profit clients.
How did you secure this role?
Before getting this job, I tried to attend ReD’s presentation at Sciences Po and reached out to a Sciences Po alumnus who gave the presentation. I then applied during an ongoing application round and went through the initial interview round, a case and finally a fit interview with partners at our firm.
What is the most fascinating and/or surprising aspect at your role?
One of the most fascinating aspects about my role is the deep immersions into contexts I have never expected to be an expert in. This is true for both geographical areas and sub-cultures or sectors. I’m currently working on vaccine hesitancy in Pakistan but was working a few months ago on social media behaviors of youths in across three continents.
How did your PSIA experience help you with the role?
PSIA equipped me with a strong theoretical background and keys to be able to adapt to different areas of knowledge seamlessly. It also gave me a diverse outlook on a range of issues that echo with my current experiences.
What advice would you give to others?
One piece of advice is to be comfortable with serendipity. It’s where some of my most valuable exchanges have happened in my new professional path.
