>PSIA is calling on students to support and take part in the fifth edition of the Youth & Leaders Summit, to be held at Sciences Po on Monday 20 January 2020. Over 40 students will be recruited to work under four positions: greeter, special guests escort, editorial assistant, event assistant.

• Greeters

- Description: Greeters will be participating on the day of the event, hand in hand with PSIA’s Event team. They will be ensuring that all external guests are welcomed and guided through Sciences Po throughout the day, that students are registered and checked in, that the panels start on time and that the overall impression of the day is one of fluidity. They will also support the Event team in the amphitheater and in the green room for a smooth organization. 

- Availability: Presence in Paris is required four days before the event to attend a briefing session, a week before the event. On the day of the event, the group of greeters will be organized in two teams, working one of two shifts (morning/afternoon).

- Contract: Please note that these will be paid student jobs, with a work contract as per Sciences Po rules (“contrat de vacation”). Up to 24 positions will be made available (12 in the morning and 12 in the afternoon) for a 7-hour contract.

• Special guests escorts

- Description: Escorts will be individually assigned to one, or a few, of our high profile invited speakers, partner representatives or special guests. They will be entrusted with the smooth running of their time in Paris and at Sciences Po, from A to Z. Tasks may include communication in the days leading up to the event to ensure a smooth arrival, meeting at the airport or the hotel and assisting with transport to Sciences Po, guiding the speaker/guest throughout the event day, solving any last minute issues, and generally being a reassuring beacon of support for our guests! 

- Availability: For this role, presence in Paris is required five days prior to the event to attend a briefing session, a week before the event. On the day of the event, presence is required all day.

- Contract: Please note that these will be paid student jobs, with a work contract as per Sciences Po rules (“contrat de vacation”). Up to 15 positions will be made available for a 20-hour contract.

• Editorial assistants

- Description: Editorial assistants will create the executive report of the event. This includes: writing the panels’ summaries, choosing speakers’ quotes, selecting photos, and contributing to the overall creation process of the report towards its publication. 

- Availability: For this role, presence in Paris is required four days before the event to attend a briefing session, a week before the event. On the day of the event, presence is required all day. In the month following the event, presence will be required for up to 3 meetings at PSIA to work on the report. 

- Contract: Please note that these will be paid student jobs, with a work contract as per Sciences Po rules (“contrat de vacation”). Up to 3 positions will be made available for a 20-hour contract.

• Event assistants

- Description: Event assistants will support the planning and organization of the Youth & Leaders Summit, starting three months before the event. They will work with PSIA Events Manager and will assist in all tasks related to the organization (writing emails, arranging travels, handling providers, preparing communication materials, etc). In addition, they may also be involved in the organization of other events at PSIA as needed. 

- Availability: For this position, selected students will work from November to January. The position will require on average 8 to 10 hours of work a week at PSIA, but this may be adapted depending on periods requiring more or less work. This role also requires availability to work at PSIA in December and January (except from Dec 22 to Jan 6).

- Contract: Please note that these will be paid student jobs, with a work contract as per Sciences Po rules (“contrat de vacation”), on the basis of 8 to 10 hours per week. Two positions will be made available.

Please note that whilst students may apply for multiple roles, only one position can be offered per student. 

For all four positions, priority will be given to PSIA students and to those who have not held such positions previously.
