The Paris School of International Affairs (PSIA) aims to develop leaders to shape the world.
Our goal is to attract the best and brightest students from across the planet and to instil these future leaders with the knowledge, skills and experience to understand, navigate, engage and shape the complexities of our ever-evolving world.
PSIA offers a choice of eight Master’s programmes in the most salient fields of international affairs. The wealth of courses on offer allows our diverse community of students, who represent over 110 nationalities, to build a solid expertise about the major international challenges of today and tomorrow.
At the end of their two years with us, our graduates are well-positioned to pursue high-profile careers and become agents of change in the transition for more secure, just and sustainable societies.
Now in its 2nd decade, PSIA continues Sciences Po’s 150 years old tradition of international openness, interdisciplinarity and dialogue between scientific and applied knowledge. World-renowned professors and leading practitioners teach over 400 specialist courses annually which balance conceptual foundations and current scholarship with the most up-to-date operational training and best practices.

The PSIA curriculum combines conceptual foundations and current scholarship with the most up-to-date operational training and best practices. PSIA offers a choice of the following eight Master’s programmes.
Environmental Policy
The Master in Environmental Policy is a multidisciplinary degree preparing the next generation of policymakers, project managers, analysts and auditors of environmental issues at the global level through rigorous training into the scientific, legal, economic, political and social aspects of climate change, biodiversity, water management and energy transitions.

Human Rights and Humanitarian Action
The Master in Human Rights and Humanitarian Action takes an innovative approach which intertwines human rights and humanitarian action, with core social science theory and practice.

International Economic Policy
The Master in International Economic Policy focuses on the issues of global economic governance: currency wars, optimal trade levels, transfer of technologies, sovereign debt, climate change, etc.

International Energy Transitions
The Master in International Energy Transitions responds to a growing worldwide demand in energy expertise, including how to govern the energy transition in the context of global warming, through a cutting-edge academic curriculum that provides students with a holistic understanding of energy issues, across disciplines and energy sources.

International Development

International Governance and Diplomacy
The Master in International Governance and Diplomacy provides an in-depth and comprehensive understanding of governance and policy issues at international, national and local levels, and the practice of diplomacy on both a multi-lateral and bi-lateral basis.

International Security
The Master in International Security offers a unique opportunity to tackle security issues through diverse perspectives in a rapidly changing geopolitical context. Students can either focus on conflicts and crisis, or peace and development.

Technology and Global Affairs
The Master in Technology and Global Affairs provides theoretical, practical and technological skills to confront and respond to the impact of technology on geopolitics, economics and citizenship, whilst also addressing vital governance issues. The Master is also offered as part of the Dual Degree in Technology and Global Affairs with IE University.

PSIA offers students the opportunity to complement their Master’s specialisation (or major) with a rich choice of cross-cutting regional and thematic concentrations (or minors).

One-year Master’s programme in Advanced Global Studies
The one-year Master’s programme at PSIA is designed for graduates with at least five years of professional experience, who are seeking to broaden their expertise in one of the cardinal fields of international affairs.

PSIA supports its students professionally by facilitating their endeavours and connecting them with career opportunities right the way throughout their degrees. Over the past three years, 61% of our students go on to work outside of France, 48% work in the private sector and 41% secure a job prior to graduating.
