The Sciences Po Chair for Sovereign Debt, in partnership with the OECD Directorate for Financial and Enterprise Affairs, has organized a roundtable discussion under the name “Trends and Risks in Sovereign Borrowing: What is Next?” which will take place the 23rd of April at 17:30 at 27 rue de Saint Guillaume, room Goguel.

The world is currently facing unprecedented levels of sovereign debt; levels which are projected to rise further in the coming years. The OECD Global Debt Report 2024 identifies where risks and vulnerabilities have increased since 2008, and what impact this will have in current market conditions with less accommodating monetary policy.

This roundtable will bring together a group of international experts, who represent some of the main stakeholders involved in the analysis of sovereign debt, and who will engage in an open dialogue to identify key areas that require urgent policy action.

Confirmed Speakers Include:

  • Carmine Di Noia, Director for Financial and Enterprise Affairs, OECD
  • Sarah Carlson, Senior Vice President, Sovereign Risk, Moody’s Investor Services
  • Jean-Pierre Landau, Professor, Economics Department, Sciences Po Paris

Moderated by:

  • Paola Subacchi, Incoming Chairholder, Sovereign Debt Chair, Sciences Po

Key Details:

  • Date: Tuesday, April 23rd
