Le 22 mars 2019 a eu lieu le Colloque International « Legal Challenges of the Data Economy » qui s’est tenu au Collège des Bernardins. Ce colloque a été organisé par la Chaire Numérique de Sciences Po, le Coase Sandor Institute de l’Université de Chicago, le Collège des Bernardins, l’Institut Montaigne et le Cercle Montesquieu.
De la récente entrée en vigueur du RGPD à l’intensification des enquêtes européennes et américaines sur les comportements anticoncurrentiels des plus grandes plateformes, les défis soulevés par la » Data Economy » apparaissent fondamentaux. Le colloque « Legal Challenges of the Data Economy » a exploré le rôle des algorithmes dans la gouvernance de la société, les questions éthiques qu’ils soulèvent, la personnalisation qu’ils permettent, les questions suscitées par la confidentialité et la sécurité des données des consommateurs, la politique de concurrence et d’antitrust, le problème de la propriété des données et plus encore.
