On March 30 from 7:15 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. the Chair had the pleasure to welcome Francesco Ducci, researcher at the European University Institute, presented his policy brief entitled “Gatekeepers and Platform Regulation: is the EU moving in the right direction?”.
In this policy brief, the author discusses the recent proposal for a Digital Markets Act published by the Commission in December 2020. Francesco DUCCI is a Max Weber Fellow at the European University Institute (EUI). His recent book, Natural Monopolies in Digital Platform Markets (Cambridge University Press, 2020), examines the role of competition policy and regulation in digital platform markets using the theoretical lenses provided by the natural monopoly framework.
