27 rue Saint-Guillaume, 75007, ParisFoundations and Frontiers of AI Governance is a six-week intensive training program by General-Purpose AI Lab hosted at Sciences Po that explores the technical foundations and emerging challenges of general-purpose artificial intelligence (GPAI) governance. The program brings together students and early-career professionals with leading experts in AI technology, policy, and governance to examine critical questions shaping the future of GPAI.
Through weekly sessions combining guest lectures, interactive discussions, and hands-on projects, participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of GPAI capabilities, evaluation methods, and governance frameworks.
Students will engage with distinguished speakers from both technical and policy backgrounds and participate in structured discussions of key readings. The program culminates in student-led presentations, experience writing policy briefs, and optional research projects that contribute to ongoing global discussions about AI governance.
Participants will both develop theoretical understanding and have a chance to apply it in practice, producing deliverables to enhance their professional portfolios while contributing to the broader dialogue on AI governance.

Upon completion, participants will receive a certificate from the GPAI Policy Lab.

- Commitment to pursuing a career in AI governance
- Currently enrolled in an advanced master's program (preferably M2)
